Shroom and Gloom is still a free playable Demo today. The full game has not launched yet; it enters Steam Early Access on September 10, 2026. Early Access is not the finished 1.0 release.

Use the right app and build.

  1. Play the free Shroom and Gloom Demo through its separate Steam app if you want to learn the current systems before launch.

  2. Wishlist or follow the main Shroom and Gloom app for the September 10 Early Access release.

  3. When Early Access unlocks, check the build number before relying on a Demo guide. Characters, paths, quests, card pools, and balance can change.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

The main Steam store changes from an unreleased listing to a purchasable Early Access game. The Demo remains a separate app and should not be mistaken for the launch build.
