CAMP DECISIONS
Make each extra turn earn its cost.
Before resting, use every productive card already in hand. Rest only when a fresh hand and refilled energy can activate a structure, clear a useful obstacle, or reach a reward.
Compare the room's Gloom and Warmth before committing another cycle. Current player reports describe Warmth as protection against Gloom pressure, not as normal healing.
Treat stored Gloom as a separate resource from the room danger. Dark Crystal records Store Gloom: 1; the Strange Geode creates that crystal and lets a camp route turn the accumulated resource into attack growth.
After the rest, spend the new hand on the camp plan you entered for: Fix or Reveal a structure, open a chest, make food, or clear a hazard that blocks the object behind it.
Leave when another rest is buying only a redraw. Repeated cycles can reveal more hazards and make a greedy camp visit cost more health than the upgrade is worth.
Leave camp even if Explore energy reaches zero. A current Demo reproduction starts the next combat at its ordinary energy value rather than carrying over the camp remainder.
Do not confuse the room Rest action with same-name packaged Rest card variants. The current database contains multiple Rest records and does not prove which variant a normal run exposes.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
One rest gives you a fresh Explore hand and refilled energy, and that extra cycle produces a concrete camp result. You leave before Gloom damage and new hazards erase the value you gained.
VERSION BOUNDARY
The redraw, energy refill, camp uses, and rising danger are consistent across the current Steam discussion and independent Demo reports. The exact Gloom-minus-Warmth damage formula and the accessible Rest card variant still need an in-run launch-build check, so this page remains noindex.

Ability text is tied to the recorded Demo build. “How you get it” stays cautious where a packaged shop value does not prove a guaranteed reward.

Explore / Skill
Dark Crystal
- What it does
- Stores 1 Gloom. The current Demo record also carries Reveal interaction and six uses.
- How you get it
- Strange Geode creates one Dark Crystal. Its separate packaged shop cost of 2 does not prove that every run or shop offers it directly.
- Use it with
- Use its limited charges only when you expect to reach the Strange Geode payoff. The exact stored-Gloom conversion formula still needs an in-run check.

Explore / Camp
Strange Geode
- What it does
- Creates its camp encounter and one Dark Crystal, then consumes itself. The record marks it Revealable.
- How you get it
- The packaged Demo record lists a shop cost of 4, but does not establish a guaranteed offer or appearance rate.
- Use it with
- Take it only when you can afford extra Explore turns: Dark Crystal stores Gloom for this route, while room Gloom can still punish a greedy camp stay.
