Don’t stop at one guide.

This site answers player tasks. These links carry the deeper database, official change log, and community evidence behind those answers.

01

Official record

Start with the current build.

Dates, patch behavior, and launch scope outrank old comments when the game changes.

  1. Main Steam page

Early Access status, platform and publisher record.

  2. Free Steam Demo

The playable pre-launch app and current player reviews.

  3. Developer announcements

Release reveal, Demo updates and mechanic changes.

  4. Demo 0.4.77 card UI notes

    The official targeting-pip, card-status, deck-view and card-hand behavior changes.

  5. Demo camera accessibility controls

The official Camera Bob, Screen Shake and improved Screen Lock additions used by the motion-sickness route.

  6. Team Lazerbeam on itch.io

Prototype history, devlogs and long-running player comments.

02

Friendly database

Use NiaMeowDB for exhaustive facts.

NiaMeowDB is the stronger destination for the full catalog. We link there instead of rebuilding 523 thin card pages.

  1. Shroom and Gloom database

523 cards, enemies, encounters, paths, rooms and quests.

  2. Search all card records

Exact build-scoped properties and ordered effects.

  3. Card Lab

Compare up to three cards and calculate dynamic effects.

  4. Mechanics reference

Dynamic values, exploration interactions and triggered actions.

  5. Keyword and status glossary

Fatal, Replenish, Consume, Exile, Explore verbs and enemy statuses from the recorded Demo text.

  6. Basic Toasty record

The current 0-energy, Heal 5, Consume and Food 1 fields used by the healing route.

  7. Foresight deck

The 14 passive Foresight rewards, including Lazarus and its automatic revive.

  8. Explore rooms

Build-scoped room rewards such as Toad Pond, Foresight Chest and the three merchants.

  9. Build and coverage boundary

What Demo build 23718635 proves—and what it does not.

Player field reports

Use discussions for strategies and edge cases.

These are observations, not patch notes. We keep them visible because they reveal the questions players actually type.

  1. Difficulty-ramp strategies

Camp structures, multi-hit scaling and food utility in the current Demo.

  2. Why healing replaces Block

An independent hands-on description of food generated by attacks or Seasoned enemies as the game's recovery plan.

  3. Why difficulty rises

The official June Demo update states that enemies grow stronger with depth.

  4. How to break Spellshield

A buried developer answer on status effects, multi-hit cards and shield-caster priority.

  5. Three-win build report

Selective rewards, a small upgraded core, Fatal and Rage synergies.

  6. Gloom Worm developer reply

Why health-heavy, low-damage decks can stall the final fight.

  7. Unlocked-card question

The player wording that exposed the Foresight reward-pool confusion.

  8. Evolve and Curse developer answers

Direct explanations buried inside the original comment archive.

  9. Exhaust and Linger developer answer

A direct reply explaining one-use-per-encounter Exhaust and why Linger stays in hand.

  10. Auto-Walk bug and input-device fixes

The developer confirms the movement is unintended; players isolate Razer Tartarus and Swiftpoint profile conflicts while documenting fixes that did and did not work.

  11. Motion-sickness settings and FOV request

Players compare head-bob and combat-camera settings; Team Lazerbeam confirms FOV adjustment is planned rather than currently verified.

  12. Demo Save and Quit answer

The developer separates the Demo's non-resumable active run from the full game's promised multi-session save feature.

  13. Demo cloud-save file locations

The Steam configuration shows the persistent JSON paths on Windows and macOS without implying that those files contain an active-run checkpoint.

  14. What Rest is for

A current question about redraws, energy, camp structures, hazards and when another Rest is worth the cost.

  15. How the Practice Dummy is activated

A current player discussion connecting the Fixable camp object with attack upgrades while showing that its value depends on the build.

  16. Practice Dummy build record

The current 2-energy, Fixable, Create Encounter and Consume fields; it does not reveal the full upgrade pool.

  17. Why Rations appeared to give only 1 energy

Team Lazerbeam explains the older 1-cost, +2-energy card; the current 0-cost, +1 record reaches the same net result.

  18. What ‘If Fatal: +2 Damage’ does

The exact player wording behind the permanent killing-blow answer.

  19. Exploration glyphs and targeting

Current confusion around Dig, Break, Ignite, Feed and objects hidden behind other targets.

  20. Canary temporary helper

Current Reveal, Feed, Temporary and target fields used to answer the bird-cage helper question.

  21. Rat temporary helper

Current Break, Feed, Temporary and Unplayable fields used to distinguish environment interaction from normal play.

  22. Skeleton Key route and developer reply

A 20-hour reproduction of the 3-cost shop and Evolve route, plus the developer's currency strategy and final-game warning.

  23. Lazarus looked like it failed

The original player wording and developer confirmation that its automatic revive feedback was easy to miss.

  24. Four current card and camp questions

One compact field report covering all-enemy targeting, Puppet Husk copies, stored Gloom and camp-to-combat energy.

  25. Why Hope seemed to do nothing

The original zero-cost confusion and the independent point-and-play explanation: drag Hope onto the card you want to discount.

  26. Hope current-build record

The current Card target, Reduce Cost: 1, Draw Cards: 1 and Temporary fields used to verify the player explanation.

Open questions

Useful, but not safe to turn into an answer yet.

The healing loop, motion controls, room Rest, Practice Dummy, Skeleton Key route and Puppet Husk copy now have cautious task pages. Their unresolved Demo-versus-launch details stay visible without being promoted as stable answers.

  1. Healing and eating guide

The Seasoned → kill → Toasty sequence, the basic Heal 5 record, and the current-build visual-reproduction boundary.

  2. Motion-sickness settings guide

The current Camera Bob, Screen Shake and Screen Lock controls, with FOV kept behind its planned-feature boundary.

  3. Room Rest guide

What the redraw, energy refill, Gloom pressure and Warmth mean with the current evidence boundary.

  4. Practice Dummy guide

The recorded build-and-consume flow, player-observed Fix activation, and the unverified upgrade-pool boundary.

  5. Skeleton Key guide

The current shop and Evolve route, with the developer-confirmed final-game currency change kept explicit.

  6. Puppet Husk copy guide

What the build proves, what one current reproduction observes, and why Temporary targets remain unresolved.

  7. Difficulty scaling guide

Why deeper encounters get harder without dynamically reading or punishing the player's deck.

  8. Spellshield guide

How to spend cheap effects, statuses and multi-hit attacks before the important card.

  9. Hope targeting guide

Why a 0-energy card still needs a card target, what resolves, and what remains version-sensitive.

  10. Rest card record

Useful build evidence, but not proof of which same-name variant a normal run reaches.

  11. Submit a missing question

Send the screen, card name, build number and what you already tried.
