DEMO ROUTE
Build enough keys, then Evolve it.
Choose the Sneaky Mole route and preserve Pick/Key currency before the shop. Do not spend every early key on optional doors if Skeleton Key is the goal of the run.
Check the shop for Skeleton Key. The Demo record and current player report both put its price at 3, but the shop roll is not guaranteed.
If Inventor's Blade appears before the Mole, land Fatal kills with it to create more key currency. The developer names this as the intentional Demo route for reaching three or more.
Buy Skeleton Key, then use it on compatible locked doors or chests instead of carrying it unused. Each successful play advances its Evolve 3 counter.
When the counter reaches zero, take the evolution choice the game presents. Do not plan a launch-build route around the Demo economy: the developer says keys-as-currency has already been cut from the final game.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Skeleton Key is in your Explore deck, three successful Unlock uses reduce Evolve 3 to zero, and the evolution choice appears before the run ends.
VERSION BOUNDARY
This is a Demo-only route assembled from a current player reproduction, two Team Lazerbeam replies, an independent community discussion, and the build record. The shop roll, exact evolved payoff, and the entire key-currency route can change; the developer has already confirmed the final game removes keys as currency, so this page remains noindex.

Know the effect before you build around it.
Ability text is tied to the recorded Demo build. “How you get it” stays cautious where a packaged shop value does not prove a guaranteed reward.

- What it does
- Unlocks a compatible door or chest. Its Demo record carries Evolve 3.
- How you get it
- The packaged Demo record lists a shop cost of 3, but that alone does not prove which reward pool will offer it in every run.
- Use it with
- Use it on real locks instead of holding it forever: each play advances Evolve. The evolved result still needs an in-run check.
